Srinagar : The portfolio shoot that began on February 5 organised by MD Xavier by a famous bollywood photographer culminated here in Srinagar.
This is the second such portfolio shoot wherein MD Xavier saw a good number of youth participating with great enthusiasm.
Earlier in 2021, a sizable number of participants showed their presence but according to organisers this year in 2022, there was a good response.
“Around 300 applicants enrolled themselves and 57 applicants were selected for portfolio shoot, who were provided certificates and some of them were selected for further projects,” the organisers said.
Talking to this reporter MD Xavier said, “I will send their profile to the different production houses and maybe some of them will get the jobs and those who want to pursue their career in modelling they would get the platforms.”
He said that Kashmiri models are no lesser than models from other states.
“Given a chance the Kashmir models can make direct entry in Bollywood. And after watching them perform, I must say that with a proper platform, these models can do wonders,” said MD Xavier, a celebrity photographer.
Xavier added that Kashmiri models lack platforms due to which they are not getting recognised on any screen.
Pertinently this was his second portfolio shoot in Kashmir in the past two years.
