This Youth is behind dozens of popular songs

Kulgam, Aug 17: A youth from south Kashmir’s Kulgam district is behind dozens of songs popular on social media with millions of views.

Muntazir Yasir (21) from Frisal area of Kulgam, is pursuing post-graduation besides writing poems as well as prose in both Urdu and Kashmiri languages. Some of his songs have appeared in bollywood too with a million hits on social media platforms.

Muntazir while talking to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) he was inclined towards writing since childhood and started writing when he was in class 8.

“I have written hundreds of songs but few of them are viral on social media with millions of views, he said, adding, one of my song has been already included in bollywood which was written as per demand of script,” he said.

Muntazir said that he has written multiple songs but two of his songs, ‘Mohabbatas Inkar’ and ‘Doun Dalan’ got him into limelight. “The songs were an overnight rage. They received lakhs of views within 2 hours. Local Kashmiris have always supported me,” Muntazir said.

He said that besides romance, he has been writing on various social issues prevailing in the region.

Decrying that the admin does not show any concern for talent among Kashmiri youth, he said, “I have been unable to publish any book yet due to financial issues.”

Kashmiri youth are very much talented but they must get support and platform so that they can showcase their talent, he concluded—(KNO)
