Srinagar, Aug 26: Awami National Conference Senior Vice President Muzafar Shah Wednesday reiterated the ‘Gupkar Declaration’ of August 4 of last year in launching what he called struggle for the restoration of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir, said BJP is playing dirty politics on Kashmir.

“Calling a leader anti-national if he talks against abrogation of Article 370 by BJP is stunning and surprising. Was Gandhi, Nehru, Patel, Mookerji anti-nationals who supported retention of Article 370. Is JD(U) and DMK which are part of NDA anti-national parties that speaks against annulment of special status of Jammu and Kashmir. Is Mumta Banerji anti-national too,” Shah told KNT.

“How dare BJP leaders in a meeting in Jammu said that Gupkar Declaration is anti-national. I want to tell these BJP leaders that they are playing dirty politics on Kashmir. They already won an election because of Kashmir and trying to make Kashmir yet again a ladder to occupy the throne. The reality is that every policy of BJP Government has failed,” heg said.

He said BJP’s Kashmir policy, foreign policy, CAA, Demonetization have back fired and they are in search of an issue related to Kashmir that will revive this party. “I suggest members of Gupkar Decleration to sue these BJP leaders in the court of law for declaring those anti-nationals that talks about Article 370,” Shah said.
