Ganderbal, Aug 21: An ophthalmology camp was organized on World Senior Citizens Day 21st August., 2023 at Ahat-e-Waqar (Senior Citizens Home) Ganderbal.
The camp was organized by Ahat-e-Waqar -implemented by the She Hope Society for Women Entrepreneurs -supported by District Administration, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Chief Medical Officer’s Office Ganderbal.
The celebration was marked by an Ophthalmology Camp organized to conduct an eye check up including a vision test for senior citizens.
Before the eye examination of beneficiaries got underway, the incharge Ahat-e-Waqar, Ganderbal informed participants about the services they offer to beneficiaries.
She also threw light on the importance of World Senior Citizens’ Day.
Dr. Jabreel (ophthalmologist) from the CMO office Ganderbal enlightened participants about the need to undertake eye examination after age 40, as he explained that it is from age 40, the vision starts getting weak. So it’s necessary to get eye checks done from here on regularly.
About 80 Senior Citizens availed of the eye consultation organized by Ahat-e-Waqar Ganderbal on World Senior Citizens’ Day.
It was an excellent opportunity for senior citizens to get a free eye check-up done.
