Baramulla, Sep 11: Joint forces blocked the road for traffic after an IED was spotted by a patrolling party near Hanjivera Pattan on Srinagar-Baramulla Highway on Monday morning.
Official sources said that shortly after finding the suspected object, turned out an IED after inspection, traffic was blocked for over an hour and after defusing the explosive device, traffic was restored.
Sources added that this is the second IED recovered on the highway in the same area.
An official confirmed that an IED was spotted that was later defused. He added that a case has been registered in this regard and an investigation taken up. [KNT]
