Shopian, Oct 12: The Shopian Police Station hosted an enlightening Thana Familiarization Program today, under the able leadership of Senior Superintendent of Police (SsP) Tanushree, an esteemed IPS officer. The event, aimed at promoting community engagement and awareness, was a resounding success.
Students from the local community were invited to participate in the program, which offered a unique opportunity to gain insight into the daily operations of a police station.
The students were taken on a comprehensive tour of the police station premises. During this part of the program, they were shown various sections of the police station, including the reception area, investigation rooms, lockup facilities, and the records department. This immersive experience provided the young participants with a deeper understanding of the police station’s functioning.
The attendees were introduced to the ways and means by which the police handle crimes, complaints, and various law enforcement procedures.
