10 days summer vacation for Kashmir schools from July 8: Alok Kumar

Universities, Colleges Closed Till May 15, Market Associations Asked to Stagger Opening Timings

Srinagar, June, 30: The government is set to announce summer vacations from July 8th for schools across the Kashmir Valley, a senior official said.

“Ten days of summer vacation for schools will start from July 8th,” Alok Kumar, Principal Secretary to the Government, School Education, told Daily Spark News.

“Vacations will start from July 8th as the MET department has predicted rainfall until the 7th July,” Kumar said.

It is important to mention that the Kashmir Valley has witnessed a rise in day temperatures over the past week; however, the Meteorological Department has now forecasted wet weather until July 7th. (Daily Spark News)
