Kulgam, August 10: A delegation of volunteers of education department of district Kulgam headed by Writer/Teacher Absar Abbas Mohammadi comprising Mr Showkat Hussain Zargar, Shaikh Intikhab Aalam, Mr Javaid Ahmad Dar, Mr Mohd Yousuf Ganie and others met District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan at Mini secretariat Kulgam.

During the meeting, Volunteers of education department Kulgam briefed the DC about the drug de-addiction awarenees programmes organised by them at different schools, colleges and others place in the district in order to educate the public about the dangers of drug abuse and the importance of seeking help for addiction.

DC commends them for their outstanding contribution for organising such programmes, he assured them full support from the district administration.

He stressed the importance of awareness campaigns, rehabilitation programs, and community initiatives to be continued to educate individuals about the dangers of substance abuse.
