New Delhi, Nov, 08: After winning the T20 World Cup 2024, India ended their 11-year-long ICC trophy drought. They now are in the hunt for their next ICC trophy, the Champions Trophy, which is set to return after eight years. The tournament is schedule to be held in Pakistan. This would mark the first time an ICC event is being held in the country since the 1996 ODI World Cup.

However, there have been concerns regarding whether India would travel to Pakistan to play the tournament, considering the strained political relations between the two neighboring nations. It looks like India have finally made a decision.

India have decided not to travel to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy 2025. According to a report by Indian Express, the BCCI have written to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), expressing security concerns about travelling to the country. They want their matches to be played in the city of Dubai.

“This has been our stance and there is no reason to change that. We have written to them and asked them to shift our games to Dubai,” a source close to the proceedings informed the publication.

“The PCB feels that even if Indian government does not clear the tour to Pakistan slight adjustments can be made to the schedule, as in all probability India would play its matches in Dubai or Sharjah,” a source close to te developments informed PTI.
