Anantnag, Dec 27: Several fully smart-metered areas in Anantnag district, including Malaknag, Hazratbal, Cheeni Chowk, Reshi Bazar, and Khaja Bazar, have been without electricity for the past three hours following a fresh spell of snowfall.

Residents of these areas have expressed frustration over the recurring power outages, which have become a regular issue since the onset of winter. They have called upon the concerned authorities to address the matter urgently and ensure uninterrupted power supply, particularly during harsh weather conditions.

The power disruptions have added to the woes of the locals, who rely heavily on electricity for heating and other essential needs during the cold season.(ANO)
