KB Impact: Mubarak Gul Raises Issue of Srinagar Youth Held in Myanmar, Seeks CM’s Intervention for Early Release

Srinagar, Mar 08: Member of Legislative Assembly on Eidgah segment Mubark Gul on Saturday sought intervention from Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for early release of a Srinagar youth, who currently has been held in Myanmar, after falling victim to a fake job letter.

As exhaustively reported by news agency Kashmir Bulletin, one Faizan Rasool, a 28-year-old from Safakadal Srinagar, has been as per his family, held hostage in lieu of rupees 4.5 lac, in Myanmar.

Gul raising to the occasion, stood up in Assembly to seek from Chief Minister intervention for release of the youth from his constituency.

“I am being called since morning by my people (constituency) to (raise the issue in the House) and as such I request Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to talk to Foreign Affairs Minister, for early release of the youth, so that he is reunited with his family back home,” Gul said. (KB)
