Srinagar, Mar 30: In a heart-wrenching incident, a mother and her son died within hours of each other in Kulangam, Handwara, leaving the entire area in shock.

According to reports, 27-year-old Mushtaq Ahmad Wani suffered a sudden heart attack while at the market.

He was immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Upon hearing the distressing news of her son’s condition, his mother, Mala Begum, collapsed on the spot and died instantly.

Mushtaq was later referred to a hospital in Srinagar for advanced treatment, but despite efforts, doctors declared him dead due to cardiac arrest.

The grief-stricken family and residents bid farewell to the mother and son in separate funerals—Mala Begum was laid to rest at 1 PM, while Mushtaq’s funeral took place at 4 PM.

Tragically, this incident comes just a month after the death of Mushtaq’s father, further deepening the sorrow of the bereaved family.
