New Delhi, May 5: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has directed several states to carry out civil defence mock drills on May 7 to enhance preparedness in case of hostile attacks.
As part of the exercise, authorities will activate air raid warning sirens and train civilians, including students, on how to protect themselves during emergencies.
Key measures also include implementing crash blackout protocols, camouflaging critical infrastructure, and updating as well as rehearsing evacuation plans. [KNT]
