Srinagar, Sep 30: BJP Wednesday said that Javaid Qureshi alias Javiad Molvi of Handwara is no more associated with the party.

Senior BJP leader and former MLC, Sofi Yousuf told KNT that there is a person called Rajeev Chandeel who runs some ‘BJP Modi-Shah Mission’ and he has nominated Javiad Qureshi as State BJP President for Jammu and Kashmir. There are people from Jammu and Kashmir who have met him and he has entrusted them with assignments. We don’t know where from this Rajeev Chandeel is and those who are meeting him are defaming BJP,” Sofi said.

Pertinently, Javaid Qureshi recently met Rajeev Chandeel.

“Those who met Rajeev Chandeel are not members of BJP and the party has nothing to do with them including Javaid Qureshi,” Sofi said.

He alleged that these people are committing frauds, grabbing money from the naïve people and have made Jammu Kashmir a corruption hub. “We appeal police to arrest,” Sofi demanded.

Javaid Qureshi has been in news for the one or the other reason. He had observed fast when incumbent Home Minister Amit Shah was tested Covid positive. (KNT)
