While talking to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Musaib said that after completing his masters in Geo-science he started his own unit with the help of family and few friends. “Thanks to Almighty, I am going very well with my business,” he said.

He said that at his unit—“Himalayan Peaks Industries”, where they manufacture prefabricated kitchen, wardrobes and furniture items which is very rare here and at present around two dozen people are working at the unit. “As life is fast, we make readymade kitchen items available within two to three days,” he said. “Two friends namely Saika and Insha who are also employed at my unit, gave me an idea how we can promote our business on social media.”

He said it is their idea on which entire business runs. “We are getting only online orders from different parts of the valley and even from outside J&K and the country,” Musaib said.

In absence of internet after abrogation of article 370, they were not able to earn anything and with 2G internet facilities their work is getting affected, he said. “If government will restore 4G internet services our business can reach every corner of the World,” he claimed.

It is social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and WhatsApp on which they are running their whole business and showing their products to everyone. “It is social media only which is helping me to flourish my business,” he said. “My message to the youth of J&K will be that don’t wait for Government jobs but start your own units with the help of government based schemes and become a job provider not a job seeker,” he said.

Musaib said that there is lot of talent among Kashmiri youth but there is need to explore the same so that “we can work for our own welfare and welfare of our society.”—(KNO)
