Srinagar, Dec 04: At least 30,000 students of Kashmir valley have fetched fresh admissions in government schools in the past one week.
Top officials of Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that in past week more than 30,000 students have got admissions in various government schools across ten districts of the region.
Besides fresh admissions, the official said that some fresh admissions were from those students who were studying in private schools and have registered now in the government schools.
“In past week, we have received hundreds of new such enrolments that were already studying in private schools and have shifted now to government schools of various districts,” the official said.
The official further told KNO that “We are more focused on infrastructure and academics and in past years we have developed the school education in Kashmir. We hope we will get more admissions this year as compared to last year.”—(KNO)
