While talking to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Mir said that he had the passion for portraits and sculpturing from his youth days.

“I won several awards of appreciation for my work. It encouraged me to do more good work,” he said.

Mir said after coming into the limelight, he started receiving many orders from people.

“Post Aug-05 lockdown the orders stopped in absence of communication, so I started to work on my projects,” he said.

Sahil said that in the COVID-19 lockdown he worked on a human sculpture with a water fountain.

“I completed the sculpture in a record time, no one has by far managed to prepare anything like this across the J&K,” Mir said.

“Over the last couple of months, I’ve received several job offers but I believe that an artist should be free, it is only then they can explore new things,” he said—(KNO)
