Pampora, July 27: A pillion rider died on spot while another was shifted to hospital in critical condition after a Scooter collided with a Tata Mobile on Srinagar-Jammu Highway near Nambal Charsoo area of Awantipora here in South Kashmir.
Police sources told news agency KNT that a Vespa Scooter (JK02AS-3545) driven by one Muhammad Jamal of Razwous, Pampore collided with Tata Mobile (JK01AD-4026) near Nambal, Charsoo resulting in the injury to rider and on spot death of pillion rider.
The deceased has been identified as Mukhtar Ahmad Hajam (25) of Goripora.
“Tata mobile has been seized and its driver arrested while a case has been registered in this regard,” the police official said. (KNT)
