Srinagar, July 27: Scores of students pursuing post graduation degrees through distance mode Monday failed to submit their papers through online examination as the ‘link’ rather ‘submit’ button didn’t work.

The frustrated students contacted examiners at Kashmir University who advised them to send an application to get the issue addressed.

Scores of students from Urdu Department these days are appearing in examination through online.

“Today we were frustrated and disappointed after we failed to submit our papers. The ‘submit’ button developed some problem and didn’t work,” the students told news agency KNT.

The students said that their online examination started from 21 July and today was their third paper ‘Urdu Nazam’. “The examiners sent link to us through University Groups and we appeared in 60 minute multiple choice papers. Much to the frustration and shock of students, the submission button didn’t function and we failed to submit the paper,” they said and sought intervention of authorities.

“When we contacted Controller Dr Irfan Aalam, he advised us to prepare for upcoming paper and forget about it,” they said adding that they are very disturbed as their future is at stake.

Coordinator Examination Distance Mode, Dr Altaf told KNT that these students need to submit an application or send a mail on [email protected] so that their grievance could be addressed. “There may be some technological issues and the problems arising out of those can be addressed,” Dr Altaf said.
