Srinagar, July 29: Two persons were arrested by Army and Special Operations Group men in Srinagar and Bandipora districts.
Police sources told news agency KNT that soldiers from 13 Rashtriya Rifles and SOG Hajin arrested a youth during a raid in Chewa area of Bandipora.
Sources identified the arrested person as Muzafar Ahmed Bhat alias Satha of Chewa village and said that he has been detained for questioning in a militancy related incident.
Sources further said that during intervening night SOG Budgam apprehended a man from Hyderpora Srinagar.
He has been identified as 21 year old Samiullah Bhat.
“Bhat is being questioned in a militancy related case,” an official on condition of anonymity said. (KNT)
