Srinagar, 5 August: Prominent Social-Political Activist Waqar H Bhatti has been arrested by J&K Police at Jammu, prior to 5 August 2020 marking the one year anniversary of abrogation of Article 370.
Waqar H Bhatti is the vice-president of newly formed Jammu and Kashmir Socio-Political Activist Movement, an association of activists from across Jammu and Kashmir.
JKSPAM core leadership has decided to contest the detention of its vice-president in the court of law and leave no stone unturned to secure the release of Mr. Bhatti.
“We are moving the bail plea through a senior advocate, and are hopeful that Mr. Bhatti will be released soon. We are a law abiding organisation and have full faith in the judiciary.” said in a statement issued by JKSPAM here.
