Budgam, Aug 7: Locals here in Beerwah town of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district staged a protest to draw attention about the shortages of doctors at Sub-District Hospital Beerwah.

Calling their protest as inevitable in this pandemic, the protesters said non-covid patients are at risk in absence of Surgical Staff.

The protesters including local traders and civil society members assembled outside Sub-District Hospital Beerwah and raised slogans against the health authorities. They said only 3 doctors are available in the hospital while rest of them have been shifted to other places to perform Covid duties.

“How can 3 doctors posted in sub district hospital Beerwah are enough to cater the need of local population. This is injustice. There is almost no surgical staff,” Bashir Ahmed, a protester told news agency KNT.
