Pampore, Aug 11: Locals from Saffron town Pampore here in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district have alleged that employees at BSNL office in the town on the pretext of Covid-19 pandemic prefer to stay in their houses. They said people are facing problems due to absence of employees in the office.

Mushtaq Ahmed, a local resident told KNT that most of the employees at BSNL Pampore office remain absent while those who attend leave at will. “After 1pm, you won’t find any employee in the office. This adds to the sufferings of the customers,” he said.

Another local said that he had gone to the office to pay the telephone bill. “First I was asked that ‘computer system’ is down and then I came to know, the employee who has been assigned the duty of collecting bills is absent,” said Nisar Ahmed.
