“Water entered into this health centre causing great inconvenience to all present here. What could have been the situation had it taken place at midnight?” an attendant said adding that the district administration is yet to take any measure to get the breach fixed to save the government property from getting damaged and to redress the difficulties of the patients.

Locals demanded action against those who were assigned the job to repair the embankments of this canal after 2014 floods.

As a precautionary measure some officials rushed to the village to review the situation. The reason for the breach was not known.

District Development Commissioner, Ganderbal, Shafkat Iqbal told KNT that men and machinery have been pressed into service to fix the problem.

“Executive Engineer is on the spot to fix the breach,” he added. (KNT)
