Srinagar, Aug 31: Authorities have released Shia cleric and separatist leader Molvi Masroor Abas Ansari from house detention on Monday.
Ansari, who is the president of Itehadul Muslimeen was detained three days ago in wake of Muharram.
Sources told KNT that police personnel deployed outside his house at Nawakadal were removed and he was set free.
Authorities have placed various leaders including Aga Syed Hasan under house detention.
