Srinagar, Sep 01: The man who was found dead near flood channel behind JVC SKIMS Bemina on Monday, was tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday, officials said.
Official sources told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that after recovering the body from flood channel Bemina, it was taken to GMC Srinagar for postmortem.
However, postmortem wasn’t conducted as the semi decomposed body was tested positive for COVID-19.
Pertinently, a semi decomposed body of a man was found from flood channel Bemina on Monday afternoon. The deceased was later identified by DNA reports as a man from HMT Srinagar who was missing since 24 July 2020.
Sources said that body has been handed over to his family as per COVID protocol—(KNO)
