Anantnag, Sep 10: Barricades and blocking one side of Anantnag-Pahalgam road by Para-military troopers have been irking people of Southern district Anantnag.
Locals told news agency KNT that after the abrogation of special status of Jammu and Kashmir last year; Para-military CRPF created barricades at Mattan near Petrol Pump, Bumzo and closed one side of the KP road for commuters.
“The road has become accident prone while commuters are facing a lot of problems. This stretch has also become a traffic-Jam point,” said a local.
The locals requested District Development Commissioner to remove these un-necessary barricades and throw the road open from both sides in the interest of general public. (KNT)
