Srinagar, Oct 6: The PSO of a BJP worker who was critically injured in a militant attack at Nunar Ganderbal on Tuesday evening has succumbed to the injuries, officials said.
A police officer told GNS that the PSO identified as constable Altaf Hussain was shifted in critical condition to SKIMS Soura. However, he succumbed to injuries on way to the tertiary care hospital, some 14 kilometer away.
Earlier an unidentified militant was killed after he “attacked house of a BJP worker” at Nunar Ganderbal in central Kashmir.
“The (militant) fired upon one BJP worker at Nunar Ganderbal. He is safe,” police said in a tweet, “However his one PSO was injured (now dead) in this incident. One unidentified militant got killed in PSOs retaliation,” police said in a tweet. (GNS)
