Jammu, Oct 10: Two Border Security Force (BSF) men sustained injuries during the unprovoked ceasefire violation by the Pakistan along the Line of Control in Mendhar sector of Poonch district, security officials said.
Security officials told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that intense shelling took place in Makote area of Mendhar sub-division that lasted through out the day and was going on till evening. “Two BSF men guarding a forward post sustained injureis in Mendhar area. They were evacuated to hospital where they are under treatment,” officials said.
A BSF official said that firing and shelling with small arms and mortars was going on in the area when last reports were received—(KNO)
