Kupwara, Oct 11: An army soldier allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself dead with his service rifle in Nowgam sector of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Sunday.
A senior police officer cited family reasons for his suicide.
He identified the deceased as 28-year-old NK Mullai Raj D who was posted in Nowgam sector.
Police has registered a case in this regard and further investigation has been taken up, said the officer.
