Pistols, grenades recovered from suspicious bag in North Kashmir’s Kupwara

Kupwara, Oct 13: Joint Forces in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district recovered arms and ammunition from a suspicious bag.

SSP Kupwara Shri Ram Ambedkar told news agency KNT that on Monday late evening after receiving information about a suspicious bag found in village Gundi-Shart near Sericulture Garden, a joint team of 6 JAK Rifles and Kupwara police conducted a search.

“During search a black colour bag containing 5 Pistols, 8 grenades, 10 magazines, 138 rounds and two biscuit packets were recovered from the bag,” SSP Kupwara said.

The area falls under the jurisdiction of police post Teetwal.
