After SSB trooper now SPO goes missing with 02 AK-47 rifles in Budgam

Srinagar, Oct 14 : A Special police officer (SPO) has allegedly fled along with two Ak-47 rifles and ammunition in Chadoora area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

A top police officer told news agency KDC that SPO identified as Altaf Hassan son of Ghulam Hassan Bhat, posted at SOG Camp chadoora has gone missing along with two Ak-47 rifles and three magazines of Ak-47.

“He has gone missing from the SOG camp on the intervening night of Tuesday-Wednesday,” he said.

He further said that it was not immediately known whether the SPO has joined any militant ranks but he didn’t rule out the possibility.

Meanwhile, Police have launched a massive manhunt to trace out the missing SPO and investigations are on.

Pertinently, SSB constable posted with 14th Bn Nagam camp has also gone missing with INSAS magazine on Tuesday evening .(KDC)
