Says society compelling students to crush their dreams

Arbeena Aara (18) daughter of Mehraj Khalid Wani of Katrasoo Kulgam who recently appeared in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) while talking to the news agency—Kashmir News observer (KNO), said that she is also writing a book on social issues pertaining to the student community.

She said that 95 per cent students couldn’t achieve what they desire due to society.

Arbeena said that she was interested in English and started writing poems from Class 10. “I was interested in Arts, but, the will of parents forced me to take Medical as my subjects as they want me to become a doctor,” she said, adding that “I am doing well in Medical and secured positions at every level.”

However, she said there is minimal support of her family in writing. “But, I will continue writing as it is my passion. I have written dozens of poems on different issues so far. I am also writing a book, which will be titled “Society” in which I have mentioned how society compels a student to choose different way which is against their will. There is hardly any parent who is supporting their child in whatever they are interested.”

My message to parents will be that let their child do in whatever they are interested and encourage them so that they can showcase their talent happily, otherwise dreams of over 95 percent students are crushed, she said—(KNO)
