3 persons injured as cab goes into gorge on highway near Digdol

Jammu, Dec 02: Three persons were injured, one of them seriously, when a passenger taxi they were travelling in met with an accident at Digdol in Ramban district along the Jammu-Srinagar highway on Wednesday, the officials said.

They said that the taxi—Tata sumo (JK03C-2724), coming from Srinagar to Jammu met with an accident near Battery Chashma Digdol at around 4:45 pm. Three among four persons travelling in the vehicle were injured and were shifted to hospital.

The injured include Rahil khursheed (22) son of Khursheed Ahmed of Seerpura Anantnag, Aquib Ahmed (24) son of Mohammad Yousif of Seerpura Anantnag, Mohammad Iqbal (48) son of Ghulam Rasool Naik of Sarachi Khari Ramban . The injured were shifted to District Hospital Ramban by Police. the fourth passenger in the vehicle escaped unhurt.

SHO Ramban Pardeep Sharma confirmed the injuries to three persons. (GNS)
