BJP worker manhandled by former PDP legislator in Nowshera, video goes viral

Jammu, Dec 25: A CCTV footage showing manhandling of a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) worker by a former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) legislator and his supporters has gone viral on social media.

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the incident took place in Nowshera town of Rajouri district where Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) carried out a cerebration rally on Thursday afternoon after its candidate, who was jointly supported by all the parties under the banner of PAGD, won DDC elections.

“We protest against this incident. This is the height of highhandedness,” BJP said in a statement issued by its Mandal unit from Nowshera.

Police, however, said that a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Nowshera Police Station and investigation of the matter is going on.
