Youth shot at in Jammu City, police files case

Family stages protest, demands stern action against involved persons

Jammu, Jan 16: A youth was on Saturday injured after he was fired upon by the unknown persons at Paloura area of Jammu City.

Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that an injured youth identified as Happy Jamwal of Jammu was injured in an incident of firing at Paloura Chowk and has been hospitalised where he is undergoing treatment.

Police said that a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station while Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Jammu police has been constituted to investigate the matter.

Meanwhile, the relatives and family members of injured youth staged a protest outside Janipur Police Station.
