Srinagar, Jan 24: The government provides subsidy on LPG cylinders and the difference in amount between a subsidized LPG cylinder and non-subsidized cylinder is transferred to the beneficiaries account directly. It has been made mandatory to link your Aadhaar card with gas connection to avail the subsidy on LPG cylinder.
The PAHAL scheme started by the government under which the subsidy for LPG is directly transferred to the Aadhaar which is linked to the connection. If there is no Aadhaar linked to a person’s LPG connection he/she will not be eligible to receive the LPG subsidy.
However, what if we say there is still a way out to get subsidy transferred to your account even when your Aadhaar is not linked. This process allows you to avail subsidy in case your Aadhar card is not linked with gas connection or bank account.
You can receive the LPG subsidy directly in your bank account even without linking your Aadhaar card by visiting the nearest branch of you gas agency and submit your bank account with the distributor. Apart from Bank account number, the consumer must submit details, such as name of the beneficiary, IFSC code of the bank and 17-digit LPG consumer ID. Once you submit these details with your distributor, you will start getting LPG cylinder subsidy in your account.
Now once you start getting subsidy, how could you check it if you have received the LPG subsidy or not and how much amount has been transferred in your account.
Well, there are two ways of checking LPG cylinder subsidy—One through registered mobile number with Indane, Bharat and HP gas agencies and another by LPG ID, which is in your passbook.
Details about the process and stepwise guide to check your LPG subsidy can be found on IOC official website – indianoil.in
