Weatherman predicts light snowfall across Kashmir till Wed evening

Srinagar, Feb 02: As the night temperature plummeted again in the Valley, the weatherman here has predicted light snowfall across Kashmir in the next 24 hours.

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Deputy Director Meteorological department (MeT), Mukhtar Ahmad said that there is possibility of light snowfall across Kashmir from the intervening night of Tuesday-Wednesday.

He said that the light snowfall would occur at most of the places across Kashmir till Wednesday evening, saying that the weather conditions would improve from February 04 (Thursday) – February 08 (Monday).

Ahmad added that the night temperature would rise further across Kashmir, adding that it would settle close to minus one degree Celsius from tomorrow.

He informed that the day temperature would also increase across Kashmir from Thursday.

Pertinently, the minimum temperature plummeted again in Kashmir a day after it recorded an increase.

MeT spokesman said that the mercury settled at minus 4.6 degrees Celsius in Srinagar, the summer capital of J&K last night as against minus 3.1 degrees Celsius previous night.

Gulmarg, a world famous ski-resort recorded temperature of minus 7.0 degrees Celsius last night as against minus 8.2 degrees Celsius previous night, he said—(KNO)
