Kulgam, Nov 09: Army on Wednesday rescued seven passengers after a civil taxi they were travelling met an accident at Mohanpora area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Defence sources told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a civil taxi carrying seven passengers fell down in Nala from Akhipura Bridge near the village Mohandpora Kulgam.

“The civilians called nearby Nellow camp of 34 Rashtriya Rifles for help and a swift action was carried out by the rescue team with a recovery vehicle under Company commander and they reached the location within a short time frame,” they said.
With the assistance of the local population, the rescue team was able to recover the vehicle and shifted the injured passengers to the district hospital in Kulgam for treatment.
Meanwhile, locals of the area appreciated the efforts made by Army in rescuing the passengers—(KNO)
