Srinagar, Jul 15: As a goodwill gesture and to remember the sacrifices of Martyrs, Jammu and Kashmir Police in Kulgam under the CAP (Civic Action Programme) distributed Laptops among NOKs of Police Martyrs.
The event was graced by SSP Kulgam, Sahil Sarangal, who distributed the laptops among Next of Kins of Police Martyrs at District Police Office Kulgam. Moreover, Addl SP Kulgam, DySP Hqrs Kulgam, DySP DAR Kulgam & other officers of District Police Kulgam were present on the occasion, a police spokesman said in a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO).
SSP Kulgam interacted with all the beneficiaries and assured that Police will always play its eminent role in providing every possible support and cooperation to them. The NOKs present on the occasion were advised not to indulge in any criminal/subversive activities, & to study with zeal and zest so that they can adopt any career of their choice.
SSP Kulgam also paid rich tributes to the police martyrs who courageously laid down their lives in the service of the nation, acknowledging their profound sacrifices for our safety and security. He also informed the participants about various welfare measures that are being taken by J&K police for the welfare of NOKs—(KNO)
Old, rusted arms, ammo recovered in Reasi: Police
Reasi, Jul 15 (KNO): Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday said to have recovered an old and rusted arms and ammunition in Reasi.
“Acting on reliable information regarding the presence of a terrorist hideout in the general area of Mahore Sub Division, a cordon and search operation was launched by the Reasi Police,” a police spokesman said in a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO).
Police said that the operation was led by the police party of Police Component Shikari, along with Dy.SP PC Sarh Mahore, at Dalantop area of Mahore.
During the search and cordon operation, the police party recovered old-rusted arms and ammunition from Dalantop area of Shikari, police said, adding that the recovery includes 30 rounds of AK-47, one Magazine of AK-47, one HE-36 Hand Grenade.
While sharing the details, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mohita Sharma, said that all possible measures should be taken to thwart the nefarious design of anti-National Elements. “Further investigations are ongoing,” police said—(KNO)
