Police-Public Meet in Kulgam Strengthens Outreach, Focus on New Laws & Social Issues

Kulgam, Mar 28: Continuing its public outreach efforts, Kulgam Police on Saturday organised a PCPG meeting under Thana Diwas at Police Station Behibagh, bringing together members of the public and officials to discuss key issues and strengthen coordination.

As part of its sustained public outreach initiative, Kulgam Police on 28/03/2026 conducted a PCPG Meeting / Thana Diwas at Police Station Behibagh under the directions of the worthy SSP Kulgam. The meeting was presided over by DySP PC Hatipora.

The programme witnessed active participation from Numbardars, Chowkidars, traders, transporters, students, Auqaf members, and other respectable citizens.

During the interaction, awareness regarding New Criminal Laws was imparted, along with sensitization on cyber fraud, drug abuse, crimes against women, and other social issues.

Public grievances were patiently heard, with police-related issues resolved on the spot, while others were forwarded to the concerned departments for necessary action.

The meeting reinforced strong police public cooperation in maintaining law and order and combating social evils. (JKNS)
