Kulgam, May 22: In a major crackdown on drug trafficking networks, Kulgam Police on Friday attached a double-storey residential house worth around ₹51 lakh belonging to an accused involved in an NDPS case, officials said
As per news agency JKNS, Kulgam Police, in a major action against drug peddlers and under its continued drive against drug trafficking and proceeds of narcotics, has attached/frozen a double-storey residential house belonging to accused Umar Yousuf Rather S/o Mohd Yousuf Rather R/o Chinigam, involved in Case FIR No. 69/2021 U/S 8/15 NDPS Act of PS Yaripora.
The property has been attached under the provisions of Section 68-F of the NDPS Act through the competent authority SAFEMA in the presence of Revenue officials. The present market valuation of the attached property is approximately ₹51 lakhs.
Kulgam Police remains committed towards eradicating the menace of drugs from society and taking stringent action against persons involved in narcotics trade and properties acquired through illicit means.
General public is requested to cooperate with Police and share any information related to drug peddling or other criminal activities. The identity of the informer shall be kept strictly confidential. (JKNS)
