Srinagar, Jun 10: Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party president Syed Muhammad Altaf Bukhari on Wednesday accused the National Conference (NC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of playing a “double game” by maintaining ties with both the INDIA bloc and the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
“Both parties are completely free to make their own choices. However, they accept shawls from both sides, thinking ‘Who knows, tomorrow our livelihood might come from there or from here,’” Bukhari told news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS).
The Apni Party chief asserted that neither the NC nor the PDP believes their livelihood comes from serving the people or restoring their rights. “They have spent 75 years doing nothing but staging dramas,” he said.
Taking a dig at the two mainstream parties, Altaf Bukhari added, “If someone does not want to work, even if you give them everything, they still will not work. After getting statehood, they will come up with another excuse.” (KNS)
