New Delhi, Aug 31: All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary Ghulam Ahmad Mir on Monday met Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi to discuss the proposed expansion of the Jammu and Kashmir Council of Ministers, sources said.
Sources told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the two leaders also dicsussed other political and organisational issues related to Jammu and Kashmir
The Congress is an ally of the Omar Abdullah-led government in Jammu and Kashmir, with six MLAs in the 90-member Assembly.
Meanwhile, in a post on X, Mir said they discussed various organisational and political matters concerning Jammu and Kashmir, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
“Had a productive meeting with Rahul Gandhi, and discussed important organisational and political matters concerning Jammu & Kashmir, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. We discussed ways to further strengthen the Congress organisation and advance our political and organisational agenda with renewed focus and determination,” he said—(KNO)
