Brother lodges missing report
Srinagar, Aug 24: A Panch allegedly affiliated with BJP is missing since 19 August this month. The missing Panch has been identified as Nisar Ahmed Bhat alias Kobra who is the resident of Khonmou Srinagar.
Sources said that Altaf Ahmed Bhat, the brother of the missing Panch has filed a missing report at police station Pantha Chowk in this regard.
BJP Spokesperson Altaf Thakur refuted these claims that Nisar Bhat alias Kobra was affiliated with BJP. He said Nisar has nothing to do with BJP.
Another senior BJP leader Sofi Yousuf said that 45 year old missing Panch Nisar Bhat of Pal Mohalla Khonmou who calls himself a BJP leader, does not belong to BJP. “He is a mischievous character who has many FIRs lodged against him in different police stations in Srinagar district. He deceives people using the name of BJP,” Sofi Yousuf said.
Police sources said that after the missing of Nisar Ahmed who was introducing himself as BJP leader went missing on August 19. “Police searched him everywhere but failed to trace him. In the meantime, the name of the said missing person surfaced in a crime related incident and to evade the arrest, he reportedly went to Rajouri,” he said adding that even in Rajouri he was untraceable.
Sources added that a number of formal FIR’s stand registered against the missing person and he is wanted to police in a fresh crime related case that occurred in South Kashmir’s Shopian district.
