Over 2000 AK-47 rounds recovered from LeT hideout in Awantipora

Awantipora, Oct 16: Joint Forces Friday claimed that it unearthed a hideout belonging to militant outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba and recovered over 2000 AK-47 rifle rounds.

A police official told news agency KNT that after receiving inputs about the movement of militants Joint Forces including soldiers from 55RR, 185 Battalion CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police cordoned off Kawni Orchards in Awantipora in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

During search operation, a hideout belonging to LeT was unearthed and arms and ammunition was recovered from the said hideout.

The official said 2091 rounds of AK-47 rifle, a Pistol with a magazine, 3 live- Grenades and indiscriminating material were recovered from the hideout.
