Srinagar, Nov 20: In order to ease the students from long duration online classes, Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) on Friday directed the private schools to conduct online classes from 10 am to 03 PM.

The department also directed the recognized private schools to conduct each online class for only 30 minutes.

In this regard, a circular was issued by the DSEK, a copy of which lies with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), which reads, “The online classes shall start from 10.00 AM to 3.00 PM.”

DSEK further said that the duration of each class should not exceed 30 minutes.

The circular further reads that the DSEK was receiving feedback from the parents as well as other stakeholders especially through print media that the private schools are overburdening students with long duration of online classes and that too early in the morning and parents are complaining about it.

“The time table of weekly classes should be notified well in advance and the provision for starting online counseling session to deal with stress and anxiety of students shall be started,” it reads—(KNO)
