Srinagar, Nov 26: According to the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Jammu Kashmir ranks second in India in terms of road accidents.
Talking about the last five years, more than 900 people fell prey to road accidents in Jammu Kashmir every year, The figures of the Jammu Kashmir Traffic Department also show the same.
In the last nine years, more than 9000 people died in 56000 road accidents in the state.
Not only this, about 8,000 people were injured in these road accidents.
During the last six months, 150 people lost their lives in various road accidents, In June itself, the death toll was close to 40.
