7 days court remand to soldier accused of molestation

Uri, Dec 02: A local court Wednesday send an army soldier for 7 days police remand after police produced him before Chief Judicial Magistrate Uri on molestation charges here in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

The accused hails from Doda Jammu who is at present posted at 173 Army Engineering Unit in Bande Uri.

A police official told news agency KNT that the accused was booked in a case vide FIR number 168/2020 under section 457, 376, 511 after a woman accused him of molestation.
He identified the accused as Parvaiz Ahmad Khan son of Sadaruddin Khan, a resident of Doda.

“He was produced before the court and was given was sent to judicial custody for 7 days,” the police officer said. (KNT)
