Jammu, Jan 25: Various candidates on Monday alleged that Jammu and Kashmir government is non-serious about the candidates, who have been moving from pillar to post to get job under SRO-43/120.
As per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), addressing a press conference, leader of the candidates, Gurpreet Singh said that administration is totally apathetic towards the candidates seeking appointment in various departments and they have been waiting for years now to avail the benefit.
He said that “our complete files are lying on the table of chief secretary now but due to unknown reasons the appointment is being delayed. “Hundreds of cases similar to ours have been settled by the authorities but no decision is being taken regarding our files,” he added.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Government of erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir State had framed Compassionate Appointment Rules in the year 1994 after the eruption of militancy and notified the same vide SRO-43.
These Rules apply to the compassionate appointment of a person who is a family member of a Government employee who dies in harness other than due to militancy related action and a government employee, who dies as a result of militancy related action.
“Several candidates have crossed the age limit and are suffering financial problems but they are still waiting to get their file pass,” Singh said.
